In a significant development early today, Bavdhan Police caught both absconding accused from the Swargate area of Pune. After their arrest, the police were expected to hold a press conference to brief about the updates on the investigation. However, the police concluded the press conference within just 70 seconds, offering only a brief overview and refusing to take any questions from reporters.
Bavdhan Police stated, “We had earlier arrested three accused in the Vaishnavi Hagawane case. Six dedicated teams were formed to track down the remaining two accused. Our team successfully arrested Rajendra and Sushil Hagawane from the Swargate area early this morning. They will be produced in court this afternoon. The investigation is proceeding in the right direction under the guidance of senior officials.” Police added that they are in the process of collecting all necessary evidence and will file charges under the appropriate legal sections to ensure the accused are held accountable. However, they refused to answer any follow-up questions, leading to growing criticism and suspicion regarding transparency.
