Initially, when Santosh Deshmukh was murdered, there was no connection of Valmik Karad in this case. He was only accused in the extortion case of Rs 2 crores demanded from Avada Company. However, later, action was taken against Valmik under MCOCA and he was also accused in the Santosh Deshmukh murder case.
Now, due to the confession of Sudarshan Ghule, Valmik Karad’s problems have increased further. Ghule has admitted that the matter of Santosh Deshmukh Kidnap and murder increased at the behest of Valmik Karad. According to his confession, Valmik Karad had told Sudarshan Ghule to teach Santosh Deshmukh a lesson for once and all if he interfered with the extortion.
Now, after Sudarshan Ghule’s arrest, he has admitted to kidnapping and murdering Santosh Deshmukh in police custody. Along with Ghule, Jairam Chate and Mahesh Kedar have also confessed to the murder. Sudarshan Ghule is said to be the gang leader. However, it is learnt that Sudarshan Ghule told the police that he did all this on the orders of Valmik Karad.
Sudarshan Ghule told the police that on the day of his fried Pratik Ghule’s birthday, Santosh Deshmukh and the villagers beat them. The video of the same had went viral. He was angry. Moreover, Santosh Deshmukh was becoming an obstacle in the extortion.
