During the court hearing, the defense lawyer claimed that objectionable chats were found on Vaishnavi’s phone, suggesting possible misconduct. Kaspate refuted these allegations, stating that he was never informed about any such content. He added, “Vaishnavi is no longer with us, and now her character is being questioned. This is deeply painful for our family.”
Kaspate also clarified that he had provided Vaishnavi with a mobile phone and had purchased a ₹1.5 lakh phone for Shashank upon his request. He recounted an incident where Shashank called Vaishnavi to a Croma store in Wakad to collect the phone, highlighting the family’s efforts to support the couple.
The case continues to unfold, with the police investigating the circumstances leading to Vaishnavi’s death. Kaspate has urged for a fair and thorough investigation, hoping that justice will be served for his daughter.
