Students have pointed out the persistent lack of hygiene at the university food court as a major concern. Finding foreign objects like rubber in meals at a premier educational institution raises serious questions about the food safety standards and oversight mechanisms in place. Calling it a sign of administrative negligence, students expressed frustration over the lack of accountability. “This is not just about food; it’s about our health and the system’s apathy,” one student said.
Shiva Barole, a member of the university’s Food Quality Control Committee, emphasized the importance of providing both quality education and nutritious food to students. “The administration must act promptly when students’ health is at stake. Incidents like these require strict action and preventive measures,” he stated.
As the controversy grows, students are demanding immediate inspection of the food court and stricter enforcement of hygiene and safety standards to prevent such incidents in the future.
