Maharashtra Cabinet Key Decisions: In a major development, the Maharashtra state cabinet approved the ambitious Shaktipeeth Expressway project connecting 18 pilgrimage sites, despite strong opposition from farmers in several districts. The decision was taken during a high-level meeting at Mantralaya. A budgetary provision of ₹20,000 crore has been sanctioned for land acquisition and planning of the project. The Shaktipeeth Expressway will run from Pawanar (Wardha district) to Patradevi (Sindhudurg, on the Maharashtra-Goa border) and connect key religious sites including three and a half Shaktipeeths, two Jyotirlingas, Pandharpur, and Ambajogai.
Alongside this, the Maharashtra Cabinet also approved amendments to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Act, 2017, which are to be introduced in the upcoming legislative session. These changes aim to streamline tax administration and compliance.

Approval for Use of 40% of Cemetery Land at Chikhali (Pimpri-Chinchwad) for a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).
State Guarantee for ₹2,000 Crore HUDCO Loan Under Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme:
