LPG Cylinder Rate Adjustment From June 1: Starting June 1, commercial establishments will feel a small but welcome relief as oil companies reduce the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by ₹69. This price cut brings down the new rate of a cylinder to ₹1,676 in Delhi, compared to ₹1,745 in May. Other cities have also seen similar price adjustments. (LPG Cylinder Rate Adjustment From June 1)
Kolkata now lists the 19 kg cylinder at ₹1,789, while in Mumbai, the price has come down to ₹1,629. Chennai has recorded the new rate at ₹1,841. The oil marketing companies typically revise LPG prices on the first of every month based on international fuel trends and exchange rates. Restaurants, food stalls, tea vendors, and small eateries depend heavily on these commercial LPG cylinders for daily operations. This price drop offers some breathing space amid the rising costs of vegetables, grains, and other essentials. Business owners say even a small reduction in gas prices helps them manage daily costs better.

The new rate change, although modest, brings temporary relief to small business owners still recovering from inflation pressure and fluctuating fuel costs. Many had raised concerns over consecutive hikes in past months, which made daily operations more expensive.
While this revision affects only commercial LPG, domestic cylinder prices remain unchanged. Households will continue to pay the current rate for their 14.2 kg domestic cylinders. However, the commercial cut fuels hope for more favorable changes in the coming months, especially as international crude prices show signs of easing.
Retailers and hoteliers have welcomed the change and urged for consistent reviews to stabilize fuel costs. As businesses navigate the unpredictable economic climate, such price adjustments play a crucial role in keeping operations running and affordable for both service providers and consumers.
