Thousands of tourists who flocked to the popular hill station of Mahabaleshwar stranded in hours-long traffic jams. Taking advantage of the weekend break and relief from recent rains, thousands of tourists headed to Mahabaleshwar on Saturday and Sunday. However, their joy quickly turned to frustration as vehicles remained stuck at the same spots for hours, with passengers including children, elderly people, and women suffering in extremely distressing conditions.

The local administration was not prepared for a huge crowd of weekend tourists. It resulted in severe traffic jam throughout Mahabaleshwar city.

Tourists’ Anger Over Poor Management
Tourists faced extreme heat and exhaustion due to hour-long jam. The lack of concrete traffic management measures by police and local administration sparked widespread anger among visitors.

Several tourists criticized the functioning of police and local administration, demanding immediate action. “The administration needs to wake up now,” said angry travelers who had expected a peaceful weekend retreat.

Notably, Mahabaleshwar attracts a huge number of visitors during the rainy season. During this period, the hill station becomes beautiful and peaceful, making it an ideal destination for trekking and connecting with nature.
