Heavy Rainfall in Pimpri-Chinchwad: Torrential rainfall on Saturday has severely impacted normal life in Pimpri-Chinchwad city. Several major areas of Smart City Pimpri-Chinchwad experienced waterlogging, leading to slowed traffic and massive jams. In some places, vehicles stalled due to submerged roads, notably along Dehu Road–Katraj Bypass and in front of Indira College in Wakad. The IMD had already issued a thunderstorm and lightning alert for Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad on June 6 and 7. According to the forecast, some areas were likely to witness light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, and winds at 30–40 km/h. (Heavy Rainfall in Pimpri-Chinchwad)
