No official details of the weapons and missiles used for this military operation have been shared yet, but it is said that weapons like Scalp deep-strike cruise missiles, Hammer smart weapon system, guided bomb kits and M-777 howitzers firing Excalibur ammunition were included in this attack.
Indian missiles entered about 100 km inside Pakistan’s Punjab region and attacked Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POJK) with missiles. It was the extremely precise joint operation of the Indian Army and Air Force. Both the army stormed and destroyed the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. These were considered to be the safe hideouts of Pakistan’s biggest terrorist leaders Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar.
Complete Details of Operation Sindoor
Pakistan has confirmed that dozens of terrorists and their close aides have been killed in India’s retaliatory military action. This military action is undoubtedly much bigger strategically than the surgical strike (Post Uri attack) and the Balakot air strike (Post Pulwama attack). It is a clear message to Pakistan that India will no longer tolerate Pakistan’s dirty game of terrorism in any form. Two women officers of the Indian Army, Colonel Sofia Qureshi of the Army and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Air Force, shared the full details of Operation Sindoor in a press conference with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri. Colonel Sofia Qureshi said that in Operation Sindoor, between 1.05 am and 1.30 am, the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed and other places involved in spreading terrorism in India were targeted. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said that in this operation, the combat weapons of precise capability and specific technology weapons were carefully selected to ensure that the action was completely on the designated target.

Target Finding
All the nine targets were specific buildings or groups of buildings and were completely destroyed or neutralised. No military or civilian installation was hit. India has displayed great restraint in its response. Without making any reference to the war threat issued by a panicked Pakistan, Wing Commander Singh said that if any attempt is made to escalate the current situation, Indian forces are fully prepared to respond to any such misadventure.
Colonel Sofia Qureshi shared some videos and satellite images giving details of the attack on nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoJK. She said that the targets for Operation Sindoor were targeted based on credible intelligence inputs and the role of these hideouts in carrying out terrorist activities. These hideouts were carefully selected to avoid causing any damage to civilian infrastructure and any civilian life.
Hafiz Saeed’s hideouts destroyed
Sarjal Camp in Sialkot is 6 km away from the international border and Mehmoona Zoya Camp in Sialkot is 11 km away. Whereas Markaz Tayyaba in Muridke is 25 km away and it was the headquarters of Hafiz Saeed’s terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. It was here that Mumbai terrorist attack convicts Ajmal Kasab and David Coleman Headley were trained. These were among the four terrorist hideouts destroyed by India’s missile attack inside Pakistan. Markaz Subhan in Bahawalpur, located 100 km from the international border within Pakistan, was the headquarters of the terrorist organization Jaish, where its chief Masood Azhar often visited. Among the five terrorist hideouts destroyed in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, Sawai Nala camp in Muzaffarabad is 30 km from the LoC. This is the training camp of LeT, which is associated with the recent attacks on security forces in Pahalgam and Jammu and Kashmir.
The third target of Operation Sindoor was Gulpur Camp in Kotli which is 30 km from the LoC. The terrorists who attacked the pilgrims in Poonch-Rajouri on June 9, 2024 were trained here. Saidna Bilal Camp in Muzaffarabad was also targeted and destroyed. Terrorists were given training in jungle warfare at this location.
Training Camps of Terrorists Destroyed
Colonel Qureshi said that the mastermind of Mumbai’s 26/11 attack, Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi often visited Gulpur camp and brainwashed terrorists. Completely justifying India’s military action against Pakistan, Colonel Qureshi said that over three decades, Pakistan has built a complex web of terrorist infrastructure. It includes recruitment centers, ideological training centers, training camps and operational launch pads. This terrorist structure is spread across Pakistan and POJK which has been continuously carrying out attacks in India. Foreign Secretary Vikram Mistry said that the investigation into the Pahalgam terrorist attack has revealed communication notes of terrorists sent to and from Pakistan.
