The police arrested the accused Prakash Bhangre on the same day in this case. According to the information given by the police, the victim woman was going to the company for night shift work. The accused chased her and blocked her path near Khandoba temple. After that, he forcibly dragged her to a secluded place and raped her. Not only this, he threatened to kill her if she told anyone. The issue of women’s safety has once again come to the fore after this incident.
On receiving information about the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police Shivaji Pawar, Crime Branch teams and local police reached the spot. They took help from dog squad and forensic teams. The police have checked the CCTV footage in the area.
