Although no heavy rainfall is expected, the forecast mentions scattered thunderstorms and moderate rain, especially in the evening and night hours.
The alert covers several districts, not just Pune. Places like Satara, Kolhapur, Sangli, Thane, and Mumbai are also on watch for similar weather patterns. Wind speeds may rise to 30–50 km/h during storms, making it important for people to stay alert.
The India Meteorological Department expects the rainy spell to continue until at least June 6. Residents are advised to check daily weather updates, avoid unnecessary travel during storm warnings, and be careful in areas prone to waterlogging.
