Another resident reported a drastic change in the water’s taste, with several people in their society complaining of digestive issues. Disturbingly, there have been reports of minute worms being spotted in the drinking water, raising serious questions about the treatment and safety of the municipal water supply.
Residents are urging the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to investigate the water quality immediately. They are calling for comprehensive lab testing, regular chlorination, and filtration to prevent potential health outbreaks. In the meantime, many societies are resorting to using water purifiers or relying on packaged drinking water.
The community emphasizes the need for microbiological testing, specifically for coliform bacteria, to determine the presence of harmful pathogens. They stress that such negligence is unacceptable, especially when it leads to citizens falling ill due to contaminated water.
