On Saturday, Tej Pratap Yadav shared a Facebook post, claiming he had been in a relationship for 12 years with a woman named Anushka Yadav. In the post, he wrote, “We have been together for 12 years. It’s time to reveal this truth to the world.”
However, shortly after posting it, Tej Pratap deleted the post and claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that his social media account had been hacked.
Tej Pratap Yadav, 37, is the elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Dev. He is the elder brother of Tejashwi Yadav, who is currently Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister. Tej Pratap previously served as a minister in the Bihar government. In 2018, he married Aishwarya Rai, the granddaughter of former Chief Minister Daroga Rai. However, the marriage soon hit turbulence, and Aishwarya left the Yadav household after making serious allegations. Their divorce case is currently pending in court.
Now, Taking to his official handle on X, Lalu Prasad Yadav issued a detailed public statement announcing his decision to suspend his son from both the RJD party and the family.
“When individuals in public life disregard moral values in their personal life, it weakens our fight for social justice. The behavior and attitude of my elder son is against our family’s values and traditions. Therefore, I have decided to remove him from both the party and the family. He will have no role in either from this day forward.”
He further added, “Tej Pratap is old enough to judge his own actions. Those who associate with him should make their decisions wisely. I have always upheld dignity in public life and so have other obedient members of the family. Thank you.”
