India attacked Pakistan late on Tuesday night. These attacks have not only taken place in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir but also in Punjab province. These airstrikes targeted the cities of Muridke and Bahawalpur in Pakistan based Punjab. Muridke, located 40 kilometers from Lahore, has been the base of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its leader, terrorist Hafiz Saeed. The army headquarters is also located in this city of Muridke. This city is also been known as a school for terrorists. Videos of some Pakistanis are going viral on social media in which it is being said that India has attacked the army headquarters. This attack is significant as the army was involved in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22.
Indian Army has killed several terrorists in missiles attacks on around 9 terrorist camps. Initial reports suggest that two top commanders of Lashkar-e-Taiba have also been killed. Abdul Malik and Mudassir have been killed in the attack on Muridke, which is the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Muridke is the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its front organization Jamaat-ud-Dawa. This terrorist organizations are spread over about 200 acres. The camp also trains terrorists. Apart from this, the Indian Army has also attacked Bahawalpur in Pakistani Punjab, which has been the hub of Jaish-e-Mohammed. The leader of this terrorist group is Maulana Masood Azhar, who plotted the Mumbai terror attack. The city is 40 kilometers from Lahore. The city has been in the news for terrorist activities in the past.
