Tourism rise in Jammu and Kashmir from January as the valley is all covered in snow. Tourists from all over the world come to see the high alpine trees, snow-capped mountains. Tourists from Maharashtra remains higher in number. From January itself, honeymoon trips, family trips, students’ group flock to Jammu and Kashmir. January to June is the tourism period for Jammu and Kashmir. However, the picture is different now. Pahalgam attack has changed the mindset of people. Travel company operators are facing a big hit due to the cancellation of Jammu and Kashmir tours, on the other hand, 25 to 30 percent of tourists are still eager to visit the valley. According to them, the army has now taken over everything due to the attack. There is strict security. Therefore, the possibility of any untoward incident happening again is low. Thinking this, a few citizens are firm in their decision to go on the tour. However, since the number of people canceling bookings is high, the big question facing travel operators is how to compensate for this loss.
