Chikhli-Kudalwadi Illegal Religious Places: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has sent notices to illegal religious places of Chikhli, Kudalwadi. This includes various religious places of Chikhli, Kudalwadi and Yadavnagar. A few days ago, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation had taken action against illegal scrap warehouses and establishments of Chikhli, Kudalwadi area. In this action which lasted for several days, the premises were vacated by running bulldozers on these illegal warehouses. But no action was taken on religious places. Now the Municipal Corporation administration has issued notice to remove these constructions.

Notices signed by the designated officer and executive engineer of the Municipal Corporation’s construction work permission and illegal construction work control department have been sent to concerned person.
There was a lot of opposition while taking this acton in Chikhli, Kudalvadi and many people even went to court. MPs, MLAs, former corporators all raised questions regarding this action. But the Municipal Corporation did not stop this action and continued its work. In this action which lasted for several days, a large amount of land was freed from encroachment. But at that time the action was limited to scrap warehouses, illegal shops, sheds. But in the second part of this action, the Municipal Corporation administration has looked at illegal religious places.
