Double-Decker Bridge At Kothrud Depot Chowk: Double-decker bridge is going to be built to solve the traffic congestion on Paud Road. This bridge will be built at Kothrud Depot Chowk on the Vanaj to Chandni Chowk metro line on the lines of the Nal Stop and University Chowk. A proposal in this regard has been given to the Municipal Corporation by Mahametro. Mahametro’s Vanaj to Ramwadi metro line is now operational. This metro line is getting good response from the passengers. After this, the state government has approved the extended line from Vanaj to Chandni Chowk. This proposal is now in the final stage of approval by the central government. Therefore, the work of the extended metro line from Vanaj to Chandni Chowk by Mahametro will start soon.

The PMC had planned to build a flyover in this area. Now that the metro will also pass through here, Mahametro has also sumitted a proposal to build a double-decker flyover. Union Minister of State and Pune MP Muralidhar Mohol had also suggested the same to the administration. Accordingly, the preliminary design of this double-decker flyover has been sent by Mahametro to the PMC’s project department. Mahametro has estimated an expenditure of approximately Rs 90 crore for this.

Width – 14 meters (2-2 lanes each)
Estimated Cost – Rs 90 crore
