Khamgaon-Shegaon Road Accident: A tragic road accident occurred on the Khamgaon-Shegaon highway in wee hours on Wednesday (02 April). The collision was so severe that five people died on the spot while other six got critically injured. The accident happened near Jaipur Lande Phata. The police rushed the spot immediately upon receiving information. According to police, an ST bus traveling from Pune to Paratwada was hit by a Bolero. A speeding private travel bus coming from behind crashed into the ST bus. It resulted in a triple collision. Five people died on the spot, including the Bolero driver from Shegaon. Six passengers sustained critical injuries. Injured were rushed to government hospitals in Khamgaon and Akola for urgent medical treatment.
Police are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
